The Domain Registry of America (still a scam, sort of)

I've just had a letter from the DRoA. I've talked about this before, but they're still at it (although have tidied up a bit since then).

The letter now starts with "As a courtesy to domain holders...". To be fair, they do now say "When you switch to the DRoA...", and "review our prices and decide for yourself" and even "this notice is not a bill". I guess the old scam they pulled did them no favours at all.

I still don't like this - whilst the words are reasonable enough, the overal presentation is still one of urgency and officiality (which reminds me of their previous antics). Given their (very American) underhanded business tactics in the past, they are probably best avoided.
