Protest against European Software Patents

As if you need telling, the current European Software Patent proposals are evil. They directly increase the barriers to entry of small companies whilst favouring large companies and lawyers. Europe is not America, nor should it be. Read More.

Here's a nice example of stupid patent laws: US Patent 6,606,659 (what a suprise, it's in the US). There's no "investion" here, there's nothing that couldn't be done by just any man on the street. It's a waste of space.

I'm going to file a patent that describes the "obtaining of information from government organisations through computer networks operated by private organisations".

Someone get a grip... please?
