Protest against European Software Patents

As if you need telling, the current European Software Patent proposals are evil. They directly increase the barriers to entry of small companies whilst favouring large companies and lawyers. Europe is not America, nor should it be. Read More.
Here's a nice example of stupid patent laws: US Patent 6,606,659 (what a suprise, it's in the US). There's no "investion" here, there's nothing that couldn't be done by just any man on the street. It's a waste of space.

I'm going to file a patent that describes the "obtaining of information from government organisations through computer networks operated by private organisations".

Someone get a grip... please?

I saw your page and wanted to let you know about two free sites for patent research, and

These sites offer free patent searching with more data and more features than any other free site, including free PDF downloading, annotating documents, organizing research into folders, sharing documents with other users, and alerts for new documents of interest.

A link to let your users know about the site would be great!
