Erm, did you win, or just fail to lose? America/the West/whom ever didn't win anything. They just didn't lose. That's all. History is pretty clear about this. It's not a matter of political alignment.or political point-scoring.
My take: Dick Cheney is doing his best to rubbish John Edwards/John Kerry, whereas John Edwards is doing his best to make John Kerry look good. It may be thousands of miles away, but it's the Conservatives vs. New Labour.
