I've talked before about Haart (residential lettings, in particular). Sadly, it's worse than that - they've just charged me £50 to renew my contract - no, worse than that - to commit to paying them rent for at least 6 months, guaranteed. What's with that? Surely (a) the renewal should be free and (b) I could just carry on with two months mutal notice. Oh no, the money-extraction machine known as Haart wants to rip me off (oh, and next year, they want £70 for me to renew - well, we'll see about that...)
I also see that Bushells are a bunch of under-handed low-lives too. My neighbours have also just renewed their rental contracts. Bushells have put up boards saying "property let" - what? No it hasn't, it never became vacant! Of course, you or I would assume they've previously had a board up saying "to let", but of course they haven't. Oh, and if they remain true to form, those boards will be up for months before they come and collect them.

In front of my flat, there's a board saying "Let by Burlington". It's been there since I bought the flat 3 years ago because Burlington rent the flat above mine. It constantly has people in it but the board has never moved.
Bushells are extremely dishonest. I have a laundry list of things that they have done without my knowledge, some against my express wishes. Please read their contracts very carefully, and preferably, do not touch them with a long pole. They are cockroaches.
