I went to the dentist today to get a filling sorted out. The first shot of local anaesthetic didn't have any discernable effect (except to raise my heart rate enormously - I could even see the effect in the stars in my eyes), so I got a second dose. Since it was taking a little longer than planned, I sat in reception waiting for it to take effect (whilst someone else got treated). All that happened was I got the DTs beyond even the worst hangover, and felt really spaced out.
We put it down to a bad day, so I'm scheduled to go back in a couple of weeks ;-)
