Weblog 2003
Ahem, can I have your attention please?
Submitted by coofercat on Sun, 2003-12-28 20:49Firstly, watch your language, my mum is watching (hello Mum!).
Secondly, something for your evaulation: British security services and journalists: The secret story. You decide: True or false? (maybe click on "rating: + / -" below?). My consipiracy detector says "true", so the article gets it's first rating ;-)

Oh, and Snarky Malarkey caught my eye, not least for this picture... and so they get on my blogroll (I'm sure they're just besides themselves that they've managed lofty heights such as this ;-)

Oh come on, please...?
Submitted by coofercat on Tue, 2003-12-23 22:18The Big Conversation is in principle a good idea. However, it's implementation is the most politically slanted and frankly staid bag of spanners we could ever hope for. Surely, thes best conversations are honest, open and frank ones. Those that are encumbered with an agenda are simply a veiled "sell" of an idea.
All About Atomic Weapons
Submitted by coofercat on Mon, 2003-12-22 12:47The Progressive has a nice article, "The H-Bomb Secret" [pdf]. It's very much worth a read. It talks about the realities of atomic weapons, but possibly more interestingly, the political and social side effects involved.
The Weather Pixie
Submitted by coofercat on Fri, 2003-12-19 14:56What a great web-widget! (you can change the weathergirl/boy, and of course get her to tell you all about a different location too. Made by Tamsin who apparently needs a job.
Update: The pixie puts on a coat when it's cold, has an umbrella when it's raining, and gets her kit off when it's hot. Very cool!
Getting Home...
Submitted by coofercat on Thu, 2003-12-18 13:39It's the festive season, and I've been out for a few "Christmas drinkies"...

Image 875Okay, so I go home, having had a long conversation/argument with Sanj. I get back to find the Kebab Express is shut, so I end up in KFC (boo!!).

Then I walk home, to find the usual barrier to entry (which used to be there for the school, which is now flats, so redundant) and various other things, not least the car, smashed into a wall just a few doors up. Nice. Of course, there was a police man in attendance (who declined to be photographed), but he was overseeing the car being loaded onto the van. You do have to understand, this is a lovely neighbourhood.

But wait, there's more (just as soon as I can make The Gimp do animated gifs ;-)
(also, my CSS is clearly in need of some CPR. Can anyone help me?)

The Matrix: Revolutions (IMAX Edition)
Submitted by coofercat on Tue, 2003-12-09 11:49I went to see The Matrix: Revolutions last night at the London IMAX. It's good, but not fantastic.
