Womens Shoes

I might be getting back to normal after the weekend. For some reason I've been noticing how flimsy many women's shoes are.
<--break-->
Yesterday we had torrential rain and hail. So, when you got dressed today, what were you thinking? Apparently a number of people thought "oh, a lovely sunny summer day", because they went to work in flipflops, spindly shoes, completely flat fabric things, you name it.

Now, as a chap, it's true to say that I have no clue about "what goes" and what doesn't. But, from a practical point of view, if it rains today, flipflop-woman is going to get wet, dirty feet. I can't imagine that's going to be a good look. Fabric-shoes-woman is also going to get wet feet, and probably ruin her shoes as well.

Sorry, I don't understand.

Reminds me of one week-end in Lisbon with a nice young lady who will remain nameless. The point is, thinking that Lisbon was in Portugal and it was spring time, she only had fabric shoes with a thin sole. Now, Lisbon is built on hills and has steep cobbled streets. That week-end, we had torrential rain. So, the fabric shoes mentionned above ended up falling apart and became actually dangerous to walk in on downhill wet cobbles. This was resolved by an emergency shoe shopping expedition to buy sensible shoes. The young lady in question then promised me she'd only ever buy sensible shoes from then on, promise that of course, she has been unable to keep.

hmmm just thinking that "practical shoes" might not be all that practical...big un-flimsy boots might be good in the morning if its raining...but when the unpredictalbe weather changes to a boiling hot summers day...a girl would get sweaty uncomfortable feet and end up taking off her boots! just face it...no matter what shoes you wear...there going to have SOME problems! so just go for the ones you like! of course this comes from a girl...u wudnt understand!!!
