I am My Parents

I'm sorry to say, Cat fans, I have aged sufficiently to become my parents. The GF and I went to Carpet Right (In Brixton) and bought carpets for the new pad.

Actually, mucho kudos to Jason in there - he knew his way around hundreds of carpets, knew how to handle a slippery Cat, and worked the calculator with a certain panache rarely found these days. If you're in need of furry floors, head down and see him (and don't bother with those Allied Carpets - some of the allies have an unusually strong union, so don't feel the need to work at times you might find useful).

So we're getting some sort of Zanzibarbarian carpets delivered in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to getting them, but it's all a bit grown up, isn't it? I don't suppose they'll let me back in youth hostels now, will they?

Curtains that don't close

We have had a bit of a discussion about curtains that don't close. Apparently, they look nice, but I don't get the point if 'em.
